Chumash – A rewarding and intensive study of a broad range of commentaries and supra commentaries, enabling you to arrive at an in- depth analysis of the text.
Navi - An intensive study of the books of Yehoshua, Shoftim and Melachim. You will learn through the classical Biblical commentators and Midrash to gain an understanding of the political, religious, and social experience of the Jewish people during this period.
Halacha (Jewish Law) - A clear, concise presentation of practical Jewish Law, studied together with an explanation of the background and the reasons for the observance.
Maharal – Read, discuss and analyze philosophical works of the Maharal of Prague.
Megillot – Discover the megillot like never before with an in-depth study of the books of Esther, Song of Songs, and Ruth. The lesson incorporates a literary analysis and intensive study of the commentaries including Rashi and Malbim. Each Megillah is presented as a unique work with its own structure and themes.
Midrash - Analyze and discuss some major philosophical themes found in the Midrash, based on the teachings of Rav Chaim Yaakov Goldvicht, of blessed memory.
Mussar – Develop yourself further with a survey of the works of 20th century ba'alei mussar. This course includes studying the works of; Rav Elya Lopian, Rav Eliyahu Meir Bloch, Rav Yitzchak Hutner, Rav Chaim Freidlander, Rav Shimshon Pincus, and Rav Shlomo Brevda, with a special emphasis on the practical applications in real life scenarios.
Chassidut – Develop your character using the inspiring words of the Netivot Shalom as a springboard! Topics include emunah, bitachon and middot development.
Parsha - Gain an even deeper understanding of the Parsha by taking a philosophical look at themes and topics from the weekly Torah reading.
Tefilla - Acquire the “art of Tefilla”. The purpose of prayer and ways to aquire its art are studied in-depth. This course includes detailed explanation of the structure and words of prayer in order to then integrate the philosophical ideas into your daily prayers.
Survey of the Prophets - A detailed overview of the prophetic books of Joshua, Judges, Samuel, and Kings. In this level you are expected to prepare for class by reading the text for the upcoming lecture.
Chavruta - Make the learning your own and prepare the texts for your morning classes with a partner. The preparation is done in pairs, (“chavruta”) and is supervised by the course instructor. Tutors assist the study pairs and are available to answer questions during this time.
Many of the other classes include a shorter chavruta time within the scheduled class period.
